Installing solar on warehouse roofs in Pennsylvania will generate significant income for the building owner and increase the market value of the building without compromising the integrity of the roof.
Solar can be installed on warehouse roofs in one of two ways:
- GWD/SRE will lease the roof of the building from the owner and develop the array, adding significant lease income to the building. Typical lease terms are an initial 30-year term with two 5-year extensions.
- GWD/SRE can work with the building owner to enable the owner to develop and own the array.
Rooftop solar installations are ballasted systems that sit on the roof and require no roof membrane penetrations. The arrays are rated for 120 mph winds. GWD/SRE will work with the building’s roofing contractor to ensure the roof warranty remains intact after solar installation.
